Felipe came to me with an impossible project: he wanted to start his own blog. The challenge wasn’t his stubbornness but the fact that he was missing one of his front paws. The right one! And he wasn’t left handed.

Felipe ended being a source of inspiration and taking dictation for his blog was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. I watched his attitude unfold as he faced his new tripawd reality, not with illusory positivity but with determination. It was his attitude that made the difference.

He wanted to sell himself as a literary figure and highlight his canine identity. His paw as the signature for the project was a must.

But a dog paw was too obvious and you see them in many dog related businesses.

I thought it was key to build on his minus-one situation (having only three paws).

So I kept on doodling and doodling and one fortuitous mistake brought me to this three-pad paw.

“Genius.” —Felipe said

And that’s how Felipe got his logo.

Felipe wanted the boldness of color of your everyday superheroes like Spiderman and Superman. Instead of red and blue, we went for red and black because that’s how he wanted it.
